Effective Against

Crocotta

The crocotta is killed by destroying its spinal cord — specifically, a sharp blow or penetrating wound to the back of the neck that severs the spine. This is a unique vulnerability that suggests the crocotta's mimicry abilities and possibly its life force are neurologically based.

Usage

Any sharp implement driven into the back of the neck at the base of the skull will work. The attack requires getting behind the creature, which means the hunter typically needs to catch the crocotta off-guard or have a partner to distract it from the front while the killing blow is delivered from behind.
