Effective Against
VetalaVetalas require a very specific killing technique: a silver knife stabbed into the heart, with the blade then twisted after insertion. A standard silver stab — even directly to the heart — will not kill a vetala unless the twist is applied. This unusual requirement makes vetalas deceptively dangerous, as a hunter who knows their target requires silver but is unaware of the twist will find their kill shot ineffective.
Usage
The technique requires close combat range and a degree of deliberateness — the hunter must stab, then consciously twist the blade while it is embedded in the creature's heart. Under the stress of combat, remembering and executing this two-step process is harder than it sounds.
